I have six Herman Miller Eames LCM molded plywood lounge chairs that were poorly repaired back in the 60's. There is a business in Venice, California called Hume that repairs and restores modern era furniture. The quote to repair these chairs was more than what I can buy a newly manufactured chair directly from Herman Miller would be. I will continue to look for the parts I need (rubber shockmounts and glides). Anyone with information on a good source for these parts, please end me an email. harch@earthlink.net

Good thing you didn't send it to Hume Modern. I sent four of my Herman Miller Eames Lounge chairs to him, and they all broke just after one year, and he asked me to pay for them all again! He is an arrogant, nasty person to do business with. I have since taken my chairs to Olek Lejbzon & Co. That was six years ago, and I am still enjoying them all today. Olek is not cheap, but you get a real value there- they even fixed veneer problems and damage Alfie Hume made, without charging extra.
